ERIK FOSNES HANSEN
(f. 1965) debuterte som forfatter i 1985.
Hans romaner har alltid funnet stor resonans hos kritikere og lesere hjemme og ute, og er oversatt til 36 språk. Ikke minst i Tyskland har han et stort publikum.
Han har mottatt en rekke priser for sitt forfatterskap, blant annet Scheiblerprisen i 1986, Riksmålsprisen i 1990 og Bokhandlerprisen i 1998 og 2006 samt P2-lytternes romanpris i 1998. Han har vært shortlistet til en rekke store, internasjonale litteraturpriser.
Han var medlem av Norsk Kulturråd 2008-2013 og er medlem av Det Norske Akademi for Språk og Litteratur.
